Caitlin Gardiner

Bio

Caitlin is a highly accomplished healthcare professional with a unique  blend of clinical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for innovation.  She holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin and a  HDip in Business and Financial Information Systems from University College  Cork. Early in her career, Caitlin worked at Mater and Tallaght hospitals,  gaining valuable experience before launching her own successful physiotherapy  business. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to expand the business to  multiple locations, eventually employing a team of 20 staff.

In 2019, Caitlin earned an MSc in Health Policy & Management from  Trinity College, further sharpening her understanding of healthcare systems  and policy. Recently, she completed a course in Innovation & Enterprise  Development at Trinity and was delighted to accept the  DigiBio  HealthTech Innovation Fellowship.

Areas of  Interest

Caitlin’s key areas of interest include improving equity and access to  rehabilitation services, advancing the Hospital@Home movement, empowering  patients in their own care, and leveraging digital technology to enhance  healthcare delivery and reduce system pressures. She is particularly  passionate about fostering greater connectedness among healthcare  professionals in primary care and is committed to driving needs-led  innovation in this space.

What you  hope to achieve from the programme ?

I am excited at the prospect of working collaboratively with a diverse  team to make a positive, lasting impact on people’s lives by transforming how  healthcare is delivered.
